UV Spectrophotometric Method for Assay of the Anti-Retroviral Agent Lamivudine in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient in its Tablet Formulation [PDF]

A rapid, simple, accurate, and economical spectrophotometric method has been developed and validated for the assay of the anti-retroviral agent lamivudine in active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) and in its tablet formulation. The analysis is based on the UV absorbance maxima at about 270nm wavelength of lamivudine, using methanol as solvent.
