Design, synthesis, anti-TMV activity, and preliminary mechanism of cinnamic acid derivatives containing dithioacetal moiety

Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology, 2020
A series of cinnamic acid derivatives, which contained dithioacetal moiety, were designed and synthesized, and their anti-plant virus activity against Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) were evaluated. Most target compounds exhibited good anti-plant virus activities.

Polysaccharide from discarded tobacco leaves and its anti-TMV activities

Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology
Natural polysaccharides have been attracted increasing attention in biopesticides for the antiviral effects. Tobacco leaves enriched the polysaccharides and had the potential against tobacco mosaic virus (TMV), however, the chemical structure and anti-TMV effect of polysaccharides from discarded tobacco leaves (DTCP) are still unclear.

C‐Alkylated flavonoids from the whole plants of Desmodium caudatum and their anti‐TMV activity

Pest Management Science, 2023
AbstractBackgroundNatural products are important sources of biopesticides to control plant virus, and flavonoids are identified as promising anti‐tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) agents. Since Desmodium caudatum is a rich source of flavonoids, this study focuses on the discovery of the new anti‐TMV active flavonoids from D.

Three new xanthones from the stems of Garcinia oligantha and their anti-TMV activity

Phytochemistry Letters, 2013
Abstract For more bioactive compounds, phytochemical investigations of the acetone extract of the stems of Garcinia oligantha resulted in the isolation of three new xanthones ( 1 – 3 ) and five known analogues ( 4 – 8 ). Structural elucidations of 1 – 3 were performed by spectral methods such as 1D and 2D (HMQC, HMBC, and ROESY) NMR spectroscopy,

Three new flavones from the roots and stems of Tiandeng tobacco and their anti-TMV activities

Phytochemistry Letters, 2015
Abstract Three new flavone derivatives, paranicflavones A–C (1–3), together with three known similar compounds (4–6), were isolated from their roots and stems of Tiandeng tobacco. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including extensive 1H and 13C NMR techniques.

Two New Isoquinoline Alkaloids from Whole Plants of Thalictrum glandulosissimum and their Anti-TMV Activity

Chemistry of Natural Compounds, 2020
Two new isoquinoline alkaloids, 3-hydroxy-1-(7-hydroxy-6-methylisoquinolin-1-yl)propan-1-one (1) and 3-hydroxy-1-(7-methoxy-6-methylisoquinolin-1-yl)propan-1-one (2) were isolated from the whole plants of Thalictrum glandulosissimum. Their structures were determined by means of HR-ESI-MS and extensive 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic studies.

Anti‐TMV activity and mode of action of three alkaloids isolated from Chelidonium majus

Pest Management Science, 2020
AbstractBACKGROUNDPlant viral diseases are difficult to control and have caused serious damage to the agricultural industry. Recently, botanical biopesticides characterized by environment friendly, safe to non‐target organism and not as susceptible to produce drug resistance, have exhibited great potential to be developed as antiviral agents. To screen

Flavonol derivatives containing pyrazole oxime ether: design, synthesis, and anti-TMV activity

Molecular Diversity
A series of flavonol derivatives containing pyrazole oxime ether moieties were designed and synthesized. In vivo antiviral assays revealed that some compounds exhibited remarkable inhibitory effects against tobacco mosaic virus (TMV). Among them, Both the curative activity (EC50 = 88.9 μg/mL) and protective activity (EC50 = 107.5 μg/mL) of H13 were ...
