Separation of anti-TMV active components and modes of action of Omphalia lapidescens

Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology, 2023
Omphalia lapidescens is a saprophytic and parasitic fungus belonging to the Polypora genus of Tricholomataceae. It has repellent, insecticidal, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects. This study found that the extract of O. lapidescens had significant anti-TMV activity, and the main active component was homopolysaccharide LW-1 by Bioassay-guided

Total synthesis of the proposed structure of Anti-TMV active tabasesquiterpene A

Tetrahedron, 2021
Abstract The proposed structure of Tabasesquiterpene A, an illudalane type of sesquiterpene has been synthesized in twelve steps from 2-methoxy-4-methylbenzaldehyde in 40% overall yield. Triflic acid mediated intramolecular Freidel-Crafts acylation allows to develop the critical indanone moiety, a key intermediate of this synthesis.

Anti-TMV activity and effects of three prieurianin-type limonoids from Munronia henryi

Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology, 2022
Three prieurianin-type limonoids (1-3), including two new compounds (1 and 2) and one known compound (3) were isolated from Munronia henryi. These compounds were tested for their activities against tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) by the conventional half-leaf method and the outcomes were analyzed by western blotting and RT-PCR assays.

Design, synthesis and anti-TMV activities of novel chromone derivatives containing dithioacetal moiety

Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 2020
Thirty-five novel chromone derivatives containing dithioacetal moiety were designed, synthesized, and their anti-TMV activities were evaluated through half-leaf method. The results showed compound c23 illustrates highly curative, protective and inactivating activities against TMV at 500 mg/L, with the values of 68.8%, 58.8%, 86.0% respectively, which ...

Preparation and anti‐TMV activity of guanidinylated chitosan hydrochloride

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2009
AbstractIn this study, guanidinylated chitosan hydrochloride (GCH) was synthesized and its structure was characterized by UV–vis and FTIR. The degree of substitution of guanidinylated chitosan was confirmed by elemental analysis. In vitro antiviral activity of guanidinium derivative on local infection and systemic infection of tobacco mosaic virus (TMV)

Anti-TMV activity flavones from the leaves of Yunnan local air cured tobacco

Fitoterapia, 2015
Four new flavones, tobaflavones E-H (1-4), together with two known flavones (5 and 6), were isolated from the leaves of Dali Tiandeng tobacco (a variety of Yunnan local air cured tobacco). Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including extensive 1D- and 2D NMR techniques. Compound 2 is the first naturally occurring flavone bearing

Seco-pregnane steroidal glycosides from the roots of Cynanchum atratum and their anti-TMV activity

Fitoterapia, 2014
Fifteen new seco-pregnane steroidal glycosides cynanosides A-O (1-15) together with twenty-seven known ones were isolated from the roots of Cynanchum atratum. The structures of 1-15 were determined by extensive analysis of spectroscopic data. The anti-tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) activity of these steroidal glycosides was screened by the conventional ...
