Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

From Values to Anti-values of the European Union Law

open access: yesPrzegląd Prawa Administracyjnego
The study is an attempt at a general, synthetic reflection on the values and anti-values of European Union (EU) law, that is why the analysis of specific legal institutions has been limited to the necessary minimum. Paradoxically, the anti-values of EU law are associated with: the process of universalization of values expressed by this law; axiological

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

The problem of defining and formation of anti-value: a methodological aspect

open access: yesВестник Пермского университета. Философия. Психология. Социология
The paper is related to popularization of the phenomenon of anti-value. The main problem of the article is defining anti-value as a radical opposition to value being an axiologically positive phenomenon. In such a paradigm, the former is not just negative but «value-destroying», that is, it is full of destructive tendencies.

Evaluation of the possible association between acantholysis and anti‐desmogleins 1 and 3 values in pemphigus vulgaris and pemphigus foliaceus

open access: yesJournal of Cutaneous Immunology and Allergy, 2019
Objectives Acantholysis is the main pathologic finding in pemphigus, and its location has been historically used to distinguish the major subtypes of pemphigus vulgaris (PV) and pemphigus foliaceus (PF).

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Nilai-Nilai Anti Korupsi dalam Pemikiran KH. Sahal Mahfudh dan Diseminasinya pada Perguruan Tinggi Pesantren

open access: yesIslamic Review
The thoughts of KH. MA. Sahal Mahfudh in his fiqh sosial reflects anti-corruption values that are relevant to the main function of humans as Khalifatullah. This function implies two main tasks, namely Ibadatullah and Imaratul Ardh.

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.
