Efficacy of omega‐3 fatty acids as a functional food: a multifaceted approach to health reinforcement

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, Volume 106, Issue 8, Page 4521-4549, June 2026.
Abstract Omega‐3 fatty acids (omega‐3s) are polyunsaturated fatty acids linked with numerous health benefits. Omega‐3s exhibit multifaceted activities through various mechanisms. Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) alleviates oxidative stress by lowering reactive oxygen species and improving oxidative stress in brain tissues and acts against neurodegenerative ...

Effects of Nacubactam and Its Metabolites on QTc Interval: A Pooled Analysis of Two Randomized Phase 1 Studies

open access: yesClinical and Translational Science, Volume 19, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Nacubactam is a β‐lactamase inhibitor. Early‐phase studies with 1000/2000/4000/8000 mg nacubactam monotherapy were not powered to assess proarrhythmic risk. Therefore, this analysis pooled electrocardiogram data from two placebo‐controlled studies to quantify potential effects of nacubactam on cardiac repolarization.

Advances in Electrocardiogram‐Based Non‐Invasive Blood Glucose Monitoring Technology

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 28, Issue 6, Page 4445-4463, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Blood glucose monitoring is fundamental to diabetes management, yet traditional invasive methods are limited by patient discomfort and infection risks. In recent years, electrocardiogram (ECG), a conventional tool for cardiovascular assessment, has gained attention as a prospective method for non‐invasive blood glucose monitoring.
