Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Pharmacokinetics of Olivamide after Bolus Administration in Rats and Rabbits (a Pilot Study)
The pharmacokinetics of olivamide, a semisynthetic antitumor derivate of olivomycin A, were studied in rats and rabbits after bolus administration. Plasma concentrations of olivamide were determined by an HPLC assay.

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Irumamicin Produced by Streptomyces roseoflavus INA-1278
The strain Streptomyces roseoflavus INA-1278 is described as a new irumamicin producer. Irumamicin 1278 is different by the antifungal activity from irumamicin produced by the world-known strain Streptomyces subflavus subsp. Irumaensis subps. nov.

ANTIBIOTICS and RESISTANCE to ANTIBIOTICS
Antibiotics are natural or synthetic molecules that can inhibit the growth of bacteria (bacteriostatic) or kill some bacteria (bactericidal) (Gamboa et al, 2022). They exert a specific effect on certain structures or functions of the microorganism.
