Molecular assessment of antibody‐mediated rejection in human pancreas allograft biopsies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Pancreas transplant longevity is limited by immune rejection, which is diagnosed by graft biopsy using the Banff Classification. The histological criteria for antibody-mediated rejection (AMR) are poorly reproducible and inconsistently associated with ...

Molecular Glue Degraders Enhance CAPRIN1‐Dependent Lysosomal Degradation of APP and Reduce Amyloid β in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A new class of lysosome‐directed molecular glue degraders selectively enhance CAPRIN1–APP interactions, driving APP degradation and reducing amyloid‐β production in human neurons and Alzheimer's disease mouse models. This CAPRIN1‐dependent targeted protein degradation strategy reveals a previously unrecognized therapeutic approach for disrupting the ...

Antibody-mediated rejection and treatment in pediatric patients: One center's experience

open access: yes, 2013
Objectives: Antibody-mediated rejection is a rare complication that often results in the loss of the kidney graft. Treatment options include plasmapheresis, intravenous immunoglobulin, and use of rituximab.

Intelligent Programmable Membrane Nanosponge for Early Virus Blocking

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A smart programmable nanosponge (ACNPs) displays high‐density viral receptors on its membrane and encapsulates fusion inhibitors to capture virions at the infection source through competitive binding and blocks their entry through protease inhibition for ultra‐early cascade interception. This modular, mucus‐penetrating platform shifts antiviral defence

Ribonucleotides Amplify Mitochondrial DNA‐Driven cGAS–STING Activation via FdUMP‐ribonucleotide Hybrid Particles to Potentiate Chemoimmunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work develops a metabolic sharing strategy that employs cytidine monophosphate (CMP) to competitively reprogram floxuridine (FUDR) pyrimidine metabolism in colorectal tumor cells. Elevated intracellular FdUMP induces nucleotide imbalance, drives mitochondrial DNA release and cGAS‐STING innate immune cascade activation, and potentiates robust ...

DISTURBANCE OF THE CARDIOMYOCYTE’S MACROMOLECULAR STRUCTURE IN HEART ALLOGRAFTS AS A SIGN OF CHRONIC REJECTION

open access: yesВестник трансплантологии и искусственных органов, 2012
Chronic rejection, especially cardiac allograft vasculopathy, is a major limiting factor for long-term transplant survival. This process affects not only the blood vessels, but also cardiomyocytes.

Collagen‐Binding IL‐15 Immunocytokine Armed Oncolytic Adenovirus Establishes a Self‐Reinforcing Immunostimulatory Milieu to Potentiate Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Repurposing the dense tumor stroma from a physical barrier into an anchoring scaffold, an engineered oncolytic adenovirus encoding IL15C‐CBD overcomes the immunosuppressive microenvironment in triple‐negative breast cancer. Intratumoral viral replication secretes this collagen‐anchored immunocytokine, forming a localized cytokine depot.

Fisiopatologia del rigetto acuto e cronico

open access: yesGiornale di Clinica Nefrologia e Dialisi, 2019
Allograft rejection is defined as tissue injury produced by the effector mechanisms of the alloimmune response, leading to deterioration of graft function. There are two types of rejection: T-cell-mediated rejection (TCMR) and antibody-mediated rejection

Chronic Renal Allograft Dysfunction Antibody-Mediated: An Update [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper reviews the most important studies on chronic antibody-mediated rejection (cABMR), which is an important cause of late graft dysfunction after renal transplantation.

A model of acute antibody-mediated renal allograft rejection in the sensitized rat [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Objectives: Antibody-mediated rejection in transplant recipients with preexisting donor-specific antibodies is a challenging clinical situation. However, we lack suitable animal models to study this scenario.
