Anticardiolipin antibodies in proliferative diabetic retinopathy: An additional risk factor
PurposeTo report the prevalence of anticardiolipin antibodies in patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) having high-risk criteria (HRC).MethodsDiabetic patients having PDR with HRC and diabetics free of retinopathy were compared for the ...

Long‐Term Dermoscopic Evolution of Reticular Erythematous Mucinosis: Case Report
ABSTRACT Reticular erythematous mucinosis is a rare dermatosis with a challenging diagnosis. To date, its dermoscopic features have not been well characterised in the literature. Only a limited number of case reports have described dermoscopic findings that may be indicative of the disorder, including the presence of dotted and linear vessels, as well ...

PATHOGENIC SERUM IGG ANTICARDIOLIPIN ANTIBODIES AND THE IDIOTYPIC NETWORK
OBJECTIVES: To determine whether active immunisation of mice with pathogenic anticardiolipin antibodies (IgG and IgM), derived from the serum of a patient with the antiphospholipid syndrome, could dysregulate the idiotypic cascade and induce the ...

Clinical Utility of Stillbirth Investigations in Australia: A Cohort Study
ABSTRACT Background Stillbirths impact over two million parents globally every year. Despite current knowledge, technology, and investigations, many stillbirths remain unexplained and are not fully investigated. An important step forward in addressing this gap is determining which investigations produce the highest utility in identifying the cause of ...

IgG anti-apolipoprotein A-1 antibodies in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus are associated with disease activity and corticosteroid therapy: an observational study. [PDF]
IgG anti-apolipoprotein A-1 (IgG anti-apoA-1) antibodies are present in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and may link inflammatory disease activity and the increased risk of developing atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease (CVD) in ...

Detection of Diagnostic Antibodies in Immune‐Mediated Diseases: A Focus on Antigens and Technologies
This review explores autoantibody detection in immune‐mediated diseases, highlighting autoantigens including post‐translational modifications. We compared enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay and indirect immunofluorescence with automated chemiluminescence platforms.

Unexplained recurrent implantation failure (RIF) represents a significant clinical challenge. Our results demonstrate that reduced lactate production in the RIF endometrium impairs the suppression of cytotoxic CD8+ T‑cells, allowing their proliferation and thereby disrupting the local immune balance essential for successful embryo implantation.
