Small Nucleolar RNA Snord17 Promotes Self‐Renewal of Intestinal Stem Cells through Yy2 mRNA Export and Tead4 Activation
Advanced Science, EarlyView.Snord17, through interaction with Thoc3, promotes nuclear export and translation of Yy2 mRNA in Snord17+/+ ISCs. The Yy2 protein subsequently binds the Tead4 promoter to promote its transcription, activating Hippo signaling, which is essential for ISC maintenance.Peikang Zhang, Yuwei Xu, Yufei Lan, Zhen Xiong, Zhibin Yi, Runyuan Wu, Cunzhen Li, Ying Du, Hui Guo, Yingchi Yang, Zusen Fan +10 morewiley +1 more sourceRapid Decentralized Prostate Cancer Risk Stratification by Portable Liquid Biopsy Analysis within a Clinical Biosensor Validation Framework
Advanced Science, EarlyView. In this work, we showcased two significant scientific advances in (i) developing a portable biosensor technology for rapid decentralized prostate cancer urinary biomarker testing and reporting, with superior performance to current clinical testing practice; and (ii) proposing a clinical validation framework (for our biosensor development) which can be ...Kevin M. Advanced Science, EarlyView.Dietary habits play a key role in chronic diseases, and higher annual consumption of fruit and vegetable may lower risk of dementia. Artificial intelligence predicts the lipid‐like compound α‐Amyrin (αA) from plants with edible peels as a drug candidate against Alzheimer's disease.Shu‐Qin Cao, Juan Ignacio Jiménez‐Loygorri, Yunguang Qiu, You Jung Kang, Khanh Van Do, Annabel E. Advanced Science, EarlyView. This work identifies CD3.NKp46.CD19.NK1.1. NK‐B cells enriched in PDK1‐deficient yet present in wild‐type bone marrow. IL‐15 (via CD122) and TLR9‐microbiota signaling maintain their E4BP4 expression. These cells demonstrate innate immunity, preferentially differentiate into B cells, and unveil a novel microbiota‐ and IL‐15‐dependent regulatory pathway ...Junming He, Xinlei Hou, Xiaomei Feng, Yayun Dong, Mengqi Ren, Surong Deng, Xinru Yang, Donglin Chen, Lingna Zhao, Shasha Chen, Meixiang Yang, Zhongjun Dong +11 morewiley +1 more sourcePTG‐Dependent Glycogen Metabolic Dysfunction Drives Impaired Adipose Browning: A Novel Mechanism Linking PM2.5 to Metabolic Disorders
Advanced Science, EarlyView. This study provides the first evidence that PM2.5 impairs iWAT browning via PTG‐mediated glycogen metabolism disruption, which is initiated by ADRB3 inhibition and subsequently triggers VEGFB upregulation. It thereby delineates the ADRB3‐PTG‐VEGFB axis as central to PM2.5‐induced metabolic dysfunction and identifies adipose glycogen metabolism as a ...Limin Wang, Renjie Hu, Yanxi Chai, Ping He, Sanduo Li, Lisha Zhao, Wenbin Zhao, Lu Zhang, Li Qin, Ran Li, Xiaoli Hou, Qinghua Sun, Cuiqing Liu +12 morewiley +1 more sourceGenetically‐Programmed Hypervesiculation of Lactiplantibacillus Plantarum Increases Production of Bacterial Extracellular Vesicles with Therapeutic Efficacy in a Preclinical Inflammatory Bowel Disease Model
Advanced Science, EarlyView. The development of a novel engineered strain of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum (Lp) is reported that can produce bacterial extracellular vesicles (BEVs) at >60‐fold higher yields than the unmodified parental strain. These Lp BEVs retain therapeutic bioactivity as validated in a mouse model of dextran sodium sulfate‐induced colitis.Nicholas H Pirolli, Daniel Levy, Alyssa Schledwitz, Natalia Sampaio Moura, Mitali Sarkar, Talia J. Advanced Science, EarlyView.Using human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs)‐derived neuronal model, Tian and colleagues reveal that voltage‐gated calcium channels Cav1.2 and Cav1.3, and their mediated calcium ion influx, are essential for early morphogenesis of human neuronal development, while ECEL1 underlies human neuronal functional developmental maturation through CALM3 ...Yue Tian, Yi‐Chun Ou, Zi‐Xian Zhang, Jie Cai, Si‐Qing Cai, Guo‐Gang Xing +5 morewiley +1 more sourceThe mystique of organ transplantation [PDF]

Advanced Science, EarlyView. This study demonstrates that dual UCP2/IL‐17 blockade reprograms T‐cell metabolism to overcome PDAC immunosuppression. Genipin‐mediated UCP2 inhibition enhances CD8⁺ T‐cell IFN‐γ via IL‐12R/STAT4/mTOR signaling and mitochondrial OXPHOS. Combined IL‐17 depletion amplifies Tc1/Th1 responses, reduces MDSCs, and prolongs survival in PDAC models ...Chuan‐Teng Liu, Chun‐Chieh Yeh, Tsai‐Chen Wu, Chia‐Hsin Lin, Yi‐Ting Kuo, Yoichiro Iwakura, Yuan‐Ji Day, Charles Drake, Vedran Radojcic, Ying‐Chyi Song, Heng‐Hsiung Wu, Hung‐Rong Yen +11 morewiley +1 more source
