Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-modified T cells have revolutionized the treatment of CD19-positive hematologic malignancies. Although anti-CD19 CAR-engineered autologous T cells can induce remission in patients with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia ...

Novel and multiple targets for chimeric antigen receptor-based therapies in lymphoma
Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting CD19 in B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) validates the utility of CAR-based therapy for lymphomatous malignancies.

Toward targeting B cell cancers with CD4+ CTLs: identification of a CD19-encoded minor histocompatibility antigen using a novel genome-wide analysis. [PDF]
Contains fulltext : 70575.pdf (Publisher’s version ) (Open Access)Some minor histocompatibility antigens (mHags) are expressed exclusively on patient hematopoietic and malignant cells, and this unique set of antigens enables specific ...

Obesity raises blood levels of PAI‐1, a protein linked to metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease in people with obesity. In female mice fed a high‐fat diet, partially lowering PAI‐1 led to smaller subcutaneous fat cells and lower liver cholesterol, without changing body weight or insulin sensitivity.

Background Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy is effective in treating B-cell malignancies, however relapse due to lack of CAR persistence and antigen-modulated escape remains common. Multiple strategies to simultaneously target CD19 and CD22

Abstract Therapy with CD19-directed chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells has transformed the treatment of advanced B-cell malignancies. However, loss of or low antigen expression can enable tumor escape and limit the duration of responses achieved with CAR T-cell therapy. Engineering bispecific CAR T cells that target 2 tumor antigens

Engineering IL‐4 resistant proinflammatory human myeloid cells for cancer immunotherapy
We developed a scalable workflow to generate proinflammatory human myeloid cells. CRISPR/Cas9‐edited CD34+ hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells were expanded and differentiated with M‐CSF. Deletion of STAT6 or STAT6/NFKB1 enhanced macrophage proinflammatory gene expression and cytokine secretion in the presence of IL‐4 while maintaining antibody ...
