Monoclonal antibodies that detect differentiation surface antigens on human myelomonocytic cells [PDF]
Abstract We describe here the production and characterization of several new monoclonal antibodies that recognize differentiation antigens present on human cells of the myelomonocytic lineage. The lineage and the stage specificities of our reagents (myeloid-, monocytic-, and myelomonocytic- specific) were determined on the basis of their

Differential expression of MHC class II antigens in myelomonocytic leukemia cell lines [PDF]
Major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II antigens are discordantly expressed on hematopoietic progenitor cells. Their expression is linked to differential responsiveness of the cells to growth factors and inhibitors. We examined the expression of different MHC class II antigens in a panel of human myelomonocytic cell lines representing different

Growth arrest and terminal differentiation of leukemic myelomonocytic cells induced through ligation of surface CD23 antigen [PDF]
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) cells express CD23 surface antigen after in vitro treatment with various cytokines, including interleukin- 4 (IL-4) and interferon gamma. Subsequent ligation of CD23 by specific monoclonal antibody (MoAb) induces substantial morphologic and functional modifications in these cells.

Relationship between myelomonocytic, myeloid and nonspecific cross-reacting (NCA) antigens during myelocytic cell differentiation [PDF]

Terminal differentiation surface antigens of myelomonocytic cells are expressed in human promyelocytic leukemia cells (HL60) treated with chemical inducers [PDF]
The expression of two surface antigens present on the cell membrane of both human granulocytes and monocytes was studied during the process of myelomonocytic differentiation using two monoclonal antibodies (B9.8.1 and B13.4.1). These surface antigens are not present on immature myeloid cells nor on nonmyeloid hematopoietic cells, but can be detected ...

A 43-year-old woman with Ph1-positive chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) was diagnosed as having blastic crisis. The phenotype of blasts was CD9+, CD10+, CD19+, CD11b+ and CD33+, suggesting the B Lymphoid and myeloid mixed lineage. Two color analysis of CD10 and CD33 revealed that 50% of blast cells had both B lymphocyte- and myelomonocyte-associated ...

Monoclonal antibodies specific for differentiation antigens of human myelomonocytic cells.
Several monoclonal antibodies specific for human cells of the myelomonocytic lineage at discrete stages of differentiation have been described. In this review I briefly summarize the results obtained with these reagents and discuss their possible use for the study of cell lineage and functional activities of normal peripheral blood leukocytes, for the ...
