ABSTRACT ATP synthase (complex V) catalyzes ATP synthesis and is composed of the F1 catalytic sector and the F0 proton‐conducting sector. The e subunit of the F0 sector, encoded by ATP5ME, is essential for complex V dimerization and cristae organization; however, genetic variants in ATP5ME have not yet been implicated in human disease. We ascertained a

ABSTRACT CRISPR‐Cas9 genome‐wide screening has been instrumental towards identifying novel targets for drug discovery in cancer research. However, much of this research has centred specifically on adult cancers, with paediatric cancers being underserviced by current research and screening.

Humanin Mitigates Aβ‐Induced Retinal Pigment Epithelium Injury via AMPK‐Beclin1‐Dependent Mitophagy
Humanin (HN) enhanced the clearance of Aβ‐accumulated mitochondria in the RPE while preserving retinal function and RPE barrier integrity. HN activated AMP‐activated protein kinase (AMPK), leading to phosphorylation of ULK1 and Beclin1, which promoted the interaction between Beclin1 and Parkin and their translocation to mitochondria.
