[Activity of antioxidant enzymes in cancer diseases].
In this work comprehensive data of antioxidant enzymes are reviewed and their role in carcinogenesis is discussed. When compared to their normal tissue counterparts, more of the tumor tissues were low in Cu, Zn-SOD and catalase activity and in some cases in Mn-SOD. It is probably characteristic for tumor tissues. Glutathione peroxidase, and glutathione

The biomimetic nanoplatform IMNP (ETS1 pDNA/PBAE@ITP‐MM) undergoes targeted disassembly at inflammatory vascular sites to release the ETS1 plasmid (pETS1). This release initiates a cascade of effects that inhibit pathogenic pathways and support immune homeostasis. (Abbreviations: EndMT, endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition; EC, endothelial cell; TC, T

Gastrointestinal endogenous proteins as a source of bioactive peptides : Doctor of Philosophy in Nutritional Sciences at Riddet Institute, Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand [PDF]
Gastrointestinal endogenous proteins (GEP) were investigated as a source of bioactive peptides. In silico and in vitro methods were used singly or in combination to study GEP-derived peptides after simulated digestion.

Activity and content of antioxidant enzymes in prostate tumors.
To investigate the antioxidant enzyme system in blood of men with benign hyperplasia of prostate (BHP) and with prostate adenocarcinoma (CaP). Methods: The spectrophotometrical methods were applied to study content and activity changes of superoxide-dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), ceruloplasmin (Cp), tripeptide glutathione (GSH), glutathione ...
