Systematic diagonal and vertical errors in antisaccades and memory-guided saccades [PDF]
Studies of memory-guided saccades in monkeys show an upward bias, while studies of antisaccades in humans show a diagonal effect, a deviation of endpoints toward the 45° diagonal.

GABAergic Modulation of Brain Function During Prosaccade and Antisaccade Eye Movements: Evidence From Ultra-High-Field fMRI. [PDF]
Combining eye‐tracking with 7‐Tesla fMRI, we found that lorazepam impacted (anti‐)saccadic eye movements and reduced BOLD in a fronto‐parietal‐occipital network. These areas showed higher GABAA receptor density than remaining brain areas. Individual peak velocity reductions under lorazepam were linked to lower activation in cortical regions, including ...

Instability of Oculomotor Control in Parkinson's Disease Without Freezing of Gait: Evidence From Reflexive and Voluntary Saccade Variability. [PDF]
This study found that people with Parkinson's disease without freezing of gait show higher error rate and peak velocity to amplitude ratio during prosaccade task compared to controls. Also, Parkinson patients show more variation in gain, peak velocity, peak acceleration and peak velocity to amplitude ratio compared to control group.

Ocular Motor Abnormalities in Functional Neurological Disorder: A Video-Oculography Study. [PDF]
Abstract Background Functional neurological disorders (FND) can include various sensory, motor or cognitive symptoms. Eye movement recordings, measured through video‐oculography, could serve as biomarkers for characterizing these dysfunctions in FND.

Eye Movement Alterations in Post-COVID-19 Condition: A Proof-of-Concept Study
There is much evidence pointing out eye movement alterations in several neurological diseases. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first video-oculography study describing potential alterations of eye movements in the post-COVID-19 condition ...

Volitional suppression of responses to distracting external stimuli enables us to achieve our goals. This volitional inhibition of a specific behavior is supposed to be mainly mediated by the cerebral cortex.

Trial history biases the spatial programming of antisaccades [PDF]
The historical context in which saccades are made influences their latency and error rates, but less is known about how context influences their spatial parameters.

Educational and Cognitive Predictors of Pro- and Antisaccadic Performance
Voluntary gaze control allows people to direct their attention toward selected targets while avoiding distractors. Failure in this ability could be related to dysfunctions in the neural circuits underlying executive functions.
