Sex Differences in the Association of Simultaneous Decline in Blood Pressure and Decline in Cognition during Aging

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective Both high and declining blood pressure (BP) are associated with risk of cognitive decline in older adults, and women have higher rates of hypertension and faster cognitive decline in late‐life. In old age, the relationship between changes in BP and changes in cognition is complex, and although sex differences in cognitive function and decline

Comparison of Receptor‐Mediated Endocytosis and Its Application to Enhance DNA Transfection by TFAMoplex

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
We developed an assay to distinguish cellular binding from internalization. Compatible with microscopy and high‐throughput screening, the method identifies ligand‐mediated uptake. Applying top candidates to a protein‐based DNA carrier enhanced transfection efficiency, providing a rational strategy to improve non‐viral gene delivery systems.

MOLECULAR-GENETICAL MARKERS OF LIPID ABNORMALITIES AND SUDDEN CARDIAC DEATH

open access: yesАтеросклероз, 2017
Sudden cardiac death is one of main problem of modern medicine. Sudden cardiac death is about 50 % of all cardiac deaths. The main part of people who died of sudden cardiac death didn’t have any cardiac illnesses.

Some common candidate genes in arterial hypertension and gallstlone disease pathogenesis

open access: yesАтеросклероз, 2014
Gallstone disease (GSD) and arterial hypertension (AH) have many common risk factors – age, overweight, dyslipidemia, low physical activity, diabetes mellitus, in addition, the presence of AH is considered by many authors as a risk factor for GSD ...

Corpus-based analysis on the use of 'this' and 'it'

open access: yes, 2018
Käesoleva bakalaurusetöö “Korpuseanalüüs asesõnade this ja it kasutamisest” teemaks on inglise keelt õppivate eestlaste asesõnade this ja it kasutamist.
