Shared Genetic Effects and Antagonistic Pleiotropy Between Multiple Sclerosis and Common Cancers
ABSTRACT Objective Epidemiologic studies have reported inconsistent altered cancer risk in individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS). Factors such as immune dysregulation, comorbidities, and disease‐modifying therapies may contribute to this variability.

Apparent lipid and fatty acid digestion, retention of lipid and growth performance in Caspian salmon (Salmo trutta caspius) fry fed dietary n-3 highly unsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E [PDF]
A 10-week feeding experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of dietary n-3 highly unsaturated fatty acids (n-3 HUFA) and vitamin E interaction on growth, apparent digestibility, apparent retention and utilization of lipid in Caspian salmon fry ...

Rheumatologic Manifestations of Patients With Type B Insulin Resistance
Objective The objectives of this study were to identify laboratory and clinical features associated with type B insulin resistance (TBIR), a rare condition caused by autoantibodies that inhibit the insulin receptor, most frequently occurring in the setting of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and to increase awareness of this rare, life‐threatening ...

Calcium and magnesium absorption and retention by growing goats offered diets with different calcium sources [PDF]
Calcium addition is necessary in order to balance the high phosphorus concentrations that are characteristic of high-concentrate ruminant diets. However, calcium sources differ in their bioavailability. Our objective was to determine apparent calcium and

EDX elemental map of the pre‐oxidized MgO–steel cermet anode cross section after electrolysis. The development of inert anodes for aluminum electrolysis remains challenging due to the high corrosivity of cryolite‐based melts at 950°C–1000°C. This study investigates the corrosion and process behavior of a carbon‐free MgO–steel cermet anode derived from ...

Improved digestibility and growth in selected families of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) [PDF]
Protein is the most expensive single component in fish feed and the quality of the dietary protein is decisive for the productivity of fish farming. When fish meal is partly replaced by plant protein in feed for organic fish it is especially important ...

A carbon‐free, as‐sintered MgO–steel cermet anode, fabricated via cold isostatic pressing using MgO–C refractory recyclate, was evaluated under laboratory‐scale K‐cryolite electrolysis at 800°C. Operation at this reduced temperature, combined with the electrolyte's limited electrical conductivity, led to an increase in cell voltage.
