Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.

Metaheuristics: review and application

Journal of Experimental & Theoretical Artificial Intelligence, 2013
The area of metaheuristics has grown immensely in the past two decades as a solution to real-world optimisation problems. They are able to perform well in situations where exact optimisation techniques fail to deliver satisfactory results. For complex optimisation problems (Nondeterministic polynomial time-hard problems), metaheuristic techniques are ...

Historical Review and Applications

1997
Let t i be a cup of tea containing i milligrams of sugar. Any ordinary human being, comparing cups of tea, will generally consider that there is no difference between t i and t i+1 (few people are able to perceive a difference of 1 milligram of sugar), and this, for every i. We say that a person is indifferent between t i and t i+1.

Genetic Algorithm: Review and Application

SSRN Electronic Journal, 2010
Genetic algorithms are considered as a search process used in computing to find exact or a approximate solution for optimization and search problems. There are also termed as global search heuristics. These techniques are inspired by evolutionary biology such as inheritance mutation, selection and cross over.

Thermoelectric Cooling: Review and Application. Aeromedical Review

1981
Abstract : Presented here are the theory, the applications, and an analysis of the problem of cooling a ground troop dressed in chemical warfare protective clothing. The analysis models the human thermal burden, resulting from metabolic and environmental heat production.

Literature reviews: typology and forensic applications

International Journal of Legal Medicine
Secondary research models, such as literature reviews, are designed to summarize existing primary data. Literature reviews serve distinct purposes depending on their methodology and scope. In forensic science, they have been widely used to recover historical information, facilitate bibliometric investigations, compile and compare analytical techniques,

GWO: a review and applications

International Journal of System Assurance Engineering and Management, 2020
From the solitudinarian era to the present, the human race has been striving towards the betterment of his life by trying to find out the hidden secrets of our nature. Some time back one would hardly think that colonies of ant, pack of grey wolves, and elephants would be used to design an optimization algorithm.
