Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

The behavior of a new modification of operators of the Baskakov–Schurer–Stancu variant is discussed in this study. First, we establish certain necessary moment and central moment estimates.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Parameterized Approximation Algorithms for TSP [PDF]
We study the Traveling Salesman problem (TSP), where given a complete undirected graph G = (V,E) with n vertices and an edge cost function c:E↦R_{⩾0}, the goal is to find a minimum-cost cycle visiting every vertex exactly once.

Scheduling Non-Preemptible Jobs to Minimize Peak Demand
This paper examines an important problem in smart grid energy scheduling; peaks in power demand are proportionally more expensive to generate and provision for. The issue is exacerbated in local microgrids that do not benefit from the aggregate smoothing

Approximation algorithms for stochastic clustering
We consider stochastic settings for clustering, and develop provably-good approximation algorithms for a number of these notions. These algorithms yield better approximation ratios compared to the usual deterministic clustering setting. Additionally, they offer a number of advantages including clustering which is fairer and has better long-term ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

By focusing on hybrid diffusions in which continuous dynamics and discrete events coexist, this work is concerned with approximation of solutions for hybrid stochastic differential equations with a state-dependent switching process.
