Carbonylative Suzuki–Miyaura Coupling of 1‐Iodoglycals Mediated by the N‐Heterocyclic Carbene Catalyst PEPPSI: Preparation of C‐Acyl Glycosides

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 7, 23 February 2026.
A multicomponent carbonylative Suzuki–Miyaura reaction was developed for the synthesis of C‐acyl glycosides. Using Pyridine‐Enhanced Precatalyst Preparation, Stabilization, and Initiation (PEPPSI‐IPr) catalysis and Mo(CO)6 as a solid CO source, the reaction enables selective carbonylation of three components in synthetically useful yields, providing a ...

Effect of Organic Binders on the Film Morphology of Hydrogen‐Terminated Nanodiamonds Used for Electron Extraction in Organic Solar Cells

open access: yesSolar RRL, Volume 10, Issue 3, 13 February 2026.
Here, we employed organic additives and binders to disperse or passivate hydrogen‐terminated nanodiamonds, thereby addressing the issue of aggregation formation when they are cast on ITO substrate as an electron transport layer in organic solar cells. This results in better film quality, as well as improved device performance and stability.

Highly‐Conductive Mixed PEO/PAN‐Based Membranes for Solid State Li‐Ion Batteries via Electro‐Spinning and Hot‐Press Synthesis Routes

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, Volume 652, Issue 2, 5 February 2026.
Powder diffraction pattern of hot‐pressed polythylene oxide/ polyacrylonitrile polymerelectrolyte composites. Polyethylene oxide (PEO)‐based solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs) have been extensively studied for all solid‐state batteries (ASSBs) but still suffer from low thermal stability and ionic conductivity.

Synthetic Access to Alkali Metal Selenides via Ball Milling

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, Volume 652, Issue 2, 5 February 2026.
We report the synthesis of alkali metal selenides through reactive ball milling under an argon atmosphere. This mechanochemical pathway is solvent‐free and can be performed at room temperature within minutes to hours. The synthesis of several sodium polyselenides (Na2Sen) and alkali metal selenides (A2Se, A = K, Rb, Cs) is investigated and the received
