Aquaporin 2 Promotes Cell Migration and Epithelial Morphogenesis [PDF]
The aquaporin 2 (AQP2) water channel, expressed in kidney collecting ducts, contributes critically to water homeostasis in mammals. Animals lacking or having significantly reduced levels of AQP2, however, have not only urinary concentrating abnormalities but also renal tubular defects that lead to neonatal mortality from renal failure.

Estrogen promotes proliferation and invasion of astrocyte cell line U-87 [PDF]
Objective To explore the relationships between the estrogen and astrocyte cell proliferation as well as invasion. Methods Astrocyte cell line U-87 was cultured in vitro and treated with 0, 10-12, 10-10, 10-8 and 10-6 mol/L estrogen.

This bioinspired acinus‐on‐a‐chip recapitulates VILI pathology, revealing that volutrauma drives P53/NF‐κB pathways while barotrauma triggers mitochondrial‐Wnt dysregulation. A fibrotic transitional cell cluster was identified. Pharmacological interventions targeting these pathways significantly ameliorated injury, establishing a mechanobiological ...

ABSTRACT Heterozygous germline variants in CBL disrupt its function as a negative regulator of the Ras/MAPK pathway, classically predisposing to Juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML) and moyamoya. We describe two affected siblings carrying a paternally inherited CBL variant (c.1210 T> C, p.

Abstract Premise There is a knowledge gap regarding how foliar injury and restricted water uptake can be detected by measuring root dielectric response. This pot study nondestructively evaluated the efficiency of real‐time dielectric measurement to monitor the effects of glyphosate spraying.

Urinary extracellular vesicular release of aquaporins in patients with renal transplantation
Background Diuresis has been observed within a week following renal transplantation, suggesting that the procedure causes acute disturbance of renal water homeostasis. Aquaporin (AQP) 1 and AQP2, important proteins for renal water reabsorption, have been

Abstract The organization and function of reptilian excurrent ducts remain poorly characterized, particularly in Neotropical snakes. We provide the first integrative morphological, histochemical, immunohistochemical, and ultrastructural analysis of the proximal post‐testicular ducts of Crotalus durissus across reproductive stages.
