MDM2 regulates the stability of AR, AR-V7, and TM4SF3 proteins in prostate cancer

open access: yesEndocrine Oncology
Androgen receptor (AR) and its constitutively active splice variant, AR Variant 7 (AR-V7), regulate genes essential for the development and progression of prostate cancer. Degradation of AR and AR-V7 by the ubiquitination proteasomal pathway is important

Multivariate Exponentially Weighted Moving Average Control Chart under Neutrosophic Environment: A Bootstrap Approach [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematical, Engineering and Management Sciences
The Multivariate Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (MEWMA) control chart is an effective tool for monitoring small shifts in the mean vector of multiple correlated variables over time.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

An exposition on complete androgen insensitivity syndrome and a case report

open access: yesАкушерство, гинекология и репродукция
Complete androgen insensitivity syndrome (CAIS) is a rare X-linked sexual development condition typified by 46,XY karyotype, presence of external female genitalia along with intra-abdominal testes in labia majora or inguinal ring region.

Asymptotic inference for nearly unstable AR(p) processes

open access: yes, 1999
In this paper nearly unstable AR( p) processes (in other words, models with characteristic roots near the unit circle) are studied. Our main aim is to describe the asymptotic behavior of the least-squares estimators of the coefficients.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Ars moriendi, ars vivendi

Clinical features and genetic analysis of androgen receptor gene variants in 30 prepubertal patients with androgen insensitivity syndrome

open access: yesAsian Journal of Andrology
Androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS; Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man [OMIM; #300068]) is an X-linked recessive disorder caused by pathogenic variants in the androgen receptor (AR) gene located in the Xq11-q13 region.
