ABSTRACT Botrytis cinerea (Bc) is a major pathogen of cultivated grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.), with cell wall (CW) remodelling playing a critical role in fungal colonisation. CW‐modifying enzymes, particularly pectin methylesterases (PMEs), produced by both host and pathogen, influence CW integrity and the outcome of infection.

From glomalin to glomalose: unraveling the molecular identity of the MAb32B11 antigen
Summary Glomalin, a substance produced by arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi, has well‐documented benefits for plant and soil health, including water retention and soil aggregation. Glomalin quantification has been performed by enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using a monoclonal antibody, MAb32B11, that has been described as targeting a heat ...

Extracellular Vesicles Modulate Growth and Stress Adaptation in Fusarium circinatum
Biofilm‐derived extracellular vesicles (bEVs) from Fusarium circinatum enhance conidia viability, biomass, matrix production and resistance to stress and antifungal agents. ABSTRACT The molecular mechanisms influencing Fusarium circinatum, an important pine tree pathogen, remain partially understood.

Wine pH could affect the interaction between yeast mannoproteins and flavanolic compounds
Abstract Background Global climate change is noticeably influencing the phenolic maturity of grapes. As a consequence, certain sensory properties of wine, such as astringency, are being altered. Additionally, the warmer conditions are gradually increasing the pH of wine to values close to 4.

Abstract BACKGROUND The valorization of agro‐industrial by‐products is crucial for promoting sustainability and circular economy. Olive mill semi‐solid by‐products (OMSbP), also known as alperujo, contain valuable bioactive compounds, including pectin, which can be extracted and used in food applications.
