Genome Sequencing and Analysis of the Peanut B-Genome Progenitor (Arachis ipaensis)
Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.), an important leguminous crop, is widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions. Peanut is an allotetraploid, having A and B subgenomes that maybe have originated in its diploid progenitors Arachis duranensis (A ...

Phenotyping for Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) Improvement [PDF]
Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) is grown world over for oil and food uses. It is a self-pollinated crop with low genetic diversity. The origin of the crop from single hybridization event followed by chromosome doubling as well as crossing barriers of cultivated species with wild species due to ploidy differences rendered the crop with narrow genetic ...

PlantRG: A Comprehensive and User‐Friendly Database for Plant Resistance Gene Analogs (RGAs)
ABSTRACT Resistance genes are critical for plant defence against biotic stresses, and building a comprehensive, integrated data resource platform for these genes holds great significance for plant research and agriculture. Here, we developed PlantRG (http://plantrg.bio2db.com), a user‐friendly plant resistance gene database, which is built on 2 163 397

Identification of the chromosomes of groundnut, Arachis hypogaea L.
Morphology of pachytene chromosomes was studied in Spanish (TMV-2) and Virginia (M-13) types of groundnut. All the 20 chromosomes could be identified individually from certain diagnostic characters in addition to their total lengths and arm ratios.

Enhancing spray coverage in peanut canopies using prohexadione calcium
Abstract Excessive vine growth in peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) can limit fungicide spray penetration, reducing protection against foliar diseases. Prohexadione calcium suppresses vine growth and may improve spray distribution, but its effects on fungicide coverage in peanut remain unclear.
