We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Spatial planning and architectural innovation in the Roman town of Ocriculum. [PDF]
The Roman settlement of Ocriculum (Otricoli, TR - Umbria), built on a tufa slope between the Tiber valley to the north and the San Vittore valley to the south, was established on massive substructures, which allowed the exploitation of a larger area ...

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF INNOVATIVE EDUCATIONAL MODULES ON ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAMMETRY FOR BACHELOR’S DEGREE CURRICULA IN ARCHITECTURE [PDF]
Modern specialists in the field of architecture work exclusively in three-dimensional space. At the same time, their training completely ignores the state-of-the-art technologies associated with obtaining three-dimensional models of engineering ...

Architecture Engineering Developments
This presentation will demonstrate some of the buildings, structural frames, mechanical systems, and infrastructure I worked on for my Architectural Engineering Senior Design projects. The first included an 80-story skyscraper and plaza. For the project, the leaning design had to be resolved architecturally with complete and detailed renderings of the ...
