Physical Origin of Temperature Induced Activation Energy Switching in Electrically Conductive Cement
The temperature‐induced Arrhenius activation energy switching phenomenon of electrical conduction in electrically conductive cement originates from structural degradation within the biphasic ionic‐electronic conduction architecture and shows percolation‐governed characteristics: pore network opening dominates the low‐percolation regime with downward ...

A Functionally Conserved Enhancer is Critical for PGC1A Expression and Thermogenesis in Brown Fat
An evolutionarily conserved enhancer controls PGC1A expression and thermogenic activation in brown adipose tissue. Integrative multi‐omics analyses identify two BAT‐specific enhancers, with PGC1A‐En1 functioning as the dominant regulatory element that maintains thermogenic capacity across species.

The SDSS Science Archive [PDF]
Designing and implementing the Science Archive for the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (Gunn et. al 1992) has presented several unique architectural obstacles. First, the final archive will be large; the cumulative data products will exceed tens of Terabytes. Second, the data will be complex; extracted parameter catalogs will contain links to images, spectra,

Digital Preservation and Astronomy: Lessons for funders and the funded
Astronomy looks after its data better than most disciplines, and it is no coincidence that the consensus standard for the archival preservation of all types of digital assets -- the OAIS Reference Model -- emerged originally from the space science ...

On the Value of Archival History in the United States [PDF]
Although there is increasing interest in American archival history, there has been no precise definition of its value. This essay is an effort to provide such a definition, arguing that the study of archival history is important for the following reasons:

TRF enriches Ruminococcus, a bacterial genus producing SCFAs, and activates the epithelial HIF‐1α signaling pathway. This mechanism protects the colonic mucosa from inflammatory insults in colitis models. Mechanistically, gut lactate production during starvation and refeeding mediates H4K12la, which increases SLC9A3 expression and creates an acidic gut

This study identifies GDF15+ TAMs as a cell subset mediating tumor regression after immunotherapy. Macrophage‐intrinsic GDF15 enhances phagocytosis and antigen cross‐presentation to CD8+ T cells through the NF‐κB signaling pathway, thereby inhibiting tumor progression.

Privacy, Restriction, and Access: Legal and Ethical Dilemmas [PDF]
This paper examines the intersection of privacy and access in archival repositories. Archival repositories are well known for containing restricted material, and for protecting the privacy of the donors.

Soybean employs its circadian clock, governed by GmCCA1, to rhythmically defend against soybean cyst nematodes. The pathogen retaliates by secreting the effector Hg4E02, which hijacks the clock to suppress defense and co‐opt the host's translation machinery for nutrient acquisition.
