MCH axons in the arcuate nucleus.
Photomicrographs illustrating the MCH labeling in the arcuate nucleus (ARH) in mouse (A and B) or rat (C and D) hypothalamus. In mouse, few MCH fibers were observed in the ARH whereas a dense MCH inputs were present in a ventral part of the rat ARH.

Arcuate nucleus glucokinase and dietary glucose intake
Glucose is the primary fuel for the brain. It has been proposed that the brain senses glucose, and promotes eating behaviours when levels are low. A system regulating glucose intake, driven by hedonic responses generated in the limbic system, has been identified.

Single‐chain nanoparticles have been proposed as drug delivery carriers, but adding a tail can significantly enhance their performance. This was demonstrated using a tadpole‐like structure comprising a head prepared from a UV‐crosslinked fructose‐based glycopolymer capable of targeting GLUT receptors, combined with a PEG‐based tail. Compared with other

Lattice‐Matched 2D Template Enables Efficient Cesium Tin Halide Perovskite Solar Cells
Lattice‐matched 2D perovskite PEA2CsSn2I7 templates the out‐of‐plane growth of inorganic 3D γ‐CsSnI3 along the (110) plane, forming highly oriented 2D/3D tin halide perovskite heterostructures. With reduced trap states and mitigated δ‐phase impurities, the CsSnI3‐based solar cells achieve a power conversion efficiency of 15.27% and maintain stable ...

PVN pathways controlling energy homeostasis
Research into the control of energy balance has tended to focus on discrete brain regions, such as the brainstem, medulla, arcuate nucleus of the hypothalamus, and neocortex.

Phase boundaries between Co2P and CoP are constructed through a controlled transformation of Co to Co2P‐CoP branched nanoparticles. The polycrystalline mixed‐phase Co2P‐CoP branches are enriched with phase boundaries that stabilize Co active sites for OER. This work highlights phase boundary engineering as a powerful approach to tailor active sites and

MCT2 is localized in orexigenic neurons of the arcuate nucleus.
(a–c) Low magnification images of the ventro-medial hypothalamus, analyzed by immunohistochemistry using anti-AgRP (red) and anti-NPY (blue) antibodies. Ventricular arcuate nucleus neurons co-express AgRP and NPY (c).

Circadian entry of glucose into the arcuate nucleus determines the rhythm in blood glycemia
Circulating glucose is maintained within very narrow boundaries with less than 5% variation at a given time of the day. However, over the circadian cycle, glycemia changes with almost 50% difference. How the suprachiasmatic nucleus, the biological clock,
