Single‐dose pharmacokinetic study comparing the pharmacokinetics of recombinant human chorionic gonadotropin in healthy Japanese and Caucasian women and recombinant human chorionic gonadotropin and urinary human chorionic gonadotropin in healthy Japanese women

open access: yesReproductive Medicine and Biology, 2018
Purpose Recombinant hCG (r‐hCG) was approved in Japan in 2016. As a prerequisite for a Phase III study in Japan related to this approval, the pharmacokinetic (PK) profile of r‐hCG was investigated. Methods An open‐label, partly randomized, single‐center,

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Evidence Based Medicine; Receiver Operating Characteristic Curve and Area under the Curve

open access: yesطب اورژانس ایران, 2016
Multiple diagnostic tools are used by emergency physicians, every day. In addition, new tools are evaluated to obtain more accurate methods and reduce time or cost of conventional ones.

On splitting the area under curves

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 1977
AbstractTwo area-splitting problems involving real-valued functions of a real variable are investigated. The second of these is essentially equivalent to finding all functions a ϵ C1((0, r)) with 0 < a(x) < x which satisfy the functional differential equation a′ (a(x)) = a(x)x for x ϵ (0, r). All solutions analytic at x = 0 (and many which are not) are

Improving Classifier Performance Assessment of Credit Scoring Models [PDF]

open access: yes
In evaluating credit scoring predictive power it is common to use the Re-ceiver Operating Characteristics (ROC) curve, the Area Under the Curve(AUC) and the minimum probability-weighted loss.

Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

Testing the significance of crossover receiver operating characteristic curves in the presence of multiple markers

open access: yesJournal of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, 2017
Background & Aim: In multivariate receiver operating characteristic (MROC) curve analysis, comparing two tests is usually done by means of area under the curve (AUC’s) and sensitivities.
