Therapeutic Applications of Stimuli‐Based Release and Engineering of Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, Volume 6, Issue 8, August 2026.
This review summarizes the effects of endogenous and exogenous stimuli, their effects on the natural release of extracellular vesicles, as well as their uptake and release. It also gives an overview of stimuli‐responsive EVs and their therapeutic applications. Extracellular vesicles (EVs), nano‐ to microsized lipid bilayer membrane‐bound particles, are

Cytohesin 2/ARF6 regulates preadipocyte migration through the activation of ERK1/2 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Preadipocyte migration is vital for the development of adipose tissue, which plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism. ADP-ribosylation factor 6 (ARF6) small GTPase, which regulates membrane trafficking, is activated by GTP-exchange factors (GEFs) such ...

Towards an integrated molecular understanding of plant hormones

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, Volume 68, Issue 8, Page 2787-2826, August 2026.
This review offers a comprehensive overview of the nine plant hormones, delving into their biosynthesis, transport, signaling and crosstalk mechanisms. Because the complexity of plant hormonal control goes beyond these core elements, additional specific features are discussed. Lastly, this review highlights how fundamental insights drive hormonal‐based

Myoblasts Fuse When Loner Meets ARF6 [PDF]

open access: yesDevelopmental Cell, 2003
Studies of myoblast fusion in Drosophila have revealed numerous signaling and structural proteins that regulate this critical event in muscle development. A paper by Chen et al. published in the September 19 issue of Cell adds ARF6, a GTPase, and one of its guanine nucleotide exchange factors to this set of players.

The SlARF6A‐SlFBA3/SlSGR Module Regulates the Resistance of Tomatoes to Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato

open access: yesMolecular Plant Pathology, Volume 27, Issue 8, August 2026.
The SlARF6A‐SlFBA3/SlSGR module plays an important role in the resistance response of tomato to Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato (Pst) DC3000. The transcription factor SlFBA3, which is targeted and activated by SlARF6A, antagonizes the negative regulatory factor SlSGR, thereby enhancing the resistance of tomato to Pst DC3000.

Secreted Nonstructural Protein 3 is a Pathogenic Determinant of Orbivirus

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 42, 28 July 2026.
This study uncovers a conserved PIP2‐dependent secretory pathway of orbivirus NS3 that induces vascular leakage. Pharmacological disruption of PIP2‐NS3 interaction significantly reduces viral pathogenicity and provides protective efficacy in murine models, establishing PIP2‐mediated NS3 secretion as both a key virulence determinant and a promising ...

ADP-ribosylation Factor 6 (ARF6) Bidirectionally Regulates Dendritic Spine Formation Depending on Neuronal Maturation and Activity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Background: Conflicting results regarding the role of ARF6 in dendritic spine development have not been answered. Results: ARF6-mediated Rac1 or RhoA activation via PLD pathway either positively or negatively regulates spine formation.

Doctor of Philosopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
dissertationThe vasculature infuses nearly every tissue with oxygen and nutrients. It facilitates the transport of cells and chemical messages throughout the body and maintains proper fluid balance in the individual tissues.

Arf6, JIP3, and dynein shape and mediate macropinocytosis

open access: yesMolecular Biology of the Cell, 2019
Macropinocytosis is an actin-driven form of clathrin-independent endocytosis that generates an enlarged structure, the macropinosome. Although many studies focus on signaling molecules and phosphoinositides involved in initiating macropinocytosis, the commitment to forming a macropinosome and the handling of that membrane have not been studied in ...
