Aromatic chloroosmacyclopentatrienes
ABSTRACT Aromatic metallacycles are of considerable current interest. Reported aromatic metallacycles are mainly those with carbon, nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur. In this work, we report the synthesis and characterization of aromatic chloroosmacyclopentatrienes, which represent the first structurally confirmed metallaaromatic with a ...

Abstract Based on our comprehensive theoretical investigation and known experimental results for small boron clusters, we predict the existence of a novel aromatic inorganic molecule, B12H6. This molecule, which we refer to as borozene, has remarkably similar properties to the well-known benzene.

Functional Aromatic Polyamides [PDF]
We describe herein the state of the art following the last 8 years of research into aromatic polyamides, wholly aromatic polyamides or aramids. These polymers belong to the family of high performance materials because of their exceptional thermal and mechanical behavior.

Carbohydrate–Aromatic Interactions [PDF]
The recognition of saccharides by proteins has far reaching implications in biology, technology, and drug design. Within the past two decades, researchers have directed considerable effort toward a detailed understanding of these processes. Early crystallographic studies revealed, not surprisingly, that hydrogen-bonding interactions are usually ...
