Metal-free formal synthesis of phenoxazine

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2018
A transition metal-free formal synthesis of phenoxazine is presented. The key step of the sequence is a high-yielding O-arylation of a phenol with an unsymmetrical diaryliodonium salt to provide an ortho-disubstituted diaryl ether.

Early-Life Human Microbiota Associated With Childhood Allergy Promotes the T Helper 17 Axis in Mice

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2017
The intestinal microbiota influences immune maturation during childhood, and is implicated in early-life allergy development. However, to directly study intestinal microbes and gut immune responses in infants is difficult.

AI–Guided 4D Printing of Carnivorous Plants–Inspired Microneedles for Accelerated Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents an artificial intelligence (AI)‐guided 4D‐printed microneedle platform inspired by carnivorous plants for wound healing. A thermo‐responsive shape memory polymer enables body temperature–triggered self‐coiling for autonomous wound closure.

Interaction of the dual targeting peptide of Thr‐tRNA synthetase with the chloroplastic receptor Toc34 inArabidopsis thaliana

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, 2015
Organellar proteins synthesized in the cytosol are usually selective for only one destination in a cell but some proteins are localized in more than one compartment, for example in both mitochondria and chloroplasts.

Laser‐Assisted Phase Engineering of 2D MoS2 for Efficient Solution‐Processed Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Here, local laser‐assisted phase transition from solution‐processed phase‐pure 1T′ to 2H MoS2 is shown to critically depend on the irradiation atmosphere. While processing in air leads to damaged insulating regions, inert conditions yield semiconducting 2H domains, enabling direct field‐effect transistor patterning with optimized lateral 1T′‐2H MoS2 ...

Targeted Modulation of d‐Band Center in MoS2 Interlayer With n‐Type Co/Fe Dopants Accelerating Sulfur Reaction Kinetics in Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A targeted modulation of the MoS2 electronic structure is achieved via substitutional n‐type Co/Fe co‐doping. This strategy triggers S‐mediated d‐p hybridization, optimizing the binding affinity with polysulfides to establish a volcano‐shaped relationship between the d‐band center and catalytic activity.

Shelf Life Estimation of Gotu Kola Leaf (Centella Asiatica L. Urban) Chips on Polypropylene Plastic Packaging During Storage using ASLT Method (Accelerated Shelf Life Testing) Arrhenius Model

open access: yesJurnal Keteknikan Pertanian Tropis dan Biosistem
Gotu cola leaf chips produced by the Women Farmers Group in the city of Pagar Alam, South Sumatra are packaged using polypropylene plastic packaging and the shelf life is not yet known, so a test is needed to estimate the shelf life of the gotu kola ...

Orbital‐Hybridizable Nanoseed Interphase Enables One‐Minute Rechargeable, Energy‐Dense Anode‐Free Aqueous Zinc Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An orbital‐hybridizable nanoseed (OHNS) interphase induces strong orbital hybridization between Zn and carbon edges, accelerating Zn nucleation while suppressing 2D surface diffusion. This interfacial electronic regulation drives uniform, dense, and (002)‐oriented Zn growth, enabling stable and fast charging behavior in anode‐free aqueous Zn batteries.
