Effects of Platelet-Rich Plasma Dose and Application Strategy on Post-Thaw Spermatological Parameters in Goat Semen

open access: yesVeterinary Sciences
This study investigated the effects of different PRP doses and application strategies on sperm quality in goats during cryopreservation. Semen samples were collected weekly from six Boer goats and treated with PRP either by means of pre-incubation or ...

Effect of Different Cooling Rates on Embryo Survivability and Pregnancy Rates in Freezing Sheep Embryos

open access: yesİstanbul Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Dergisi, 2016
Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde, mezbahadan sağlanan ovaryumlardan kazanılan oositler (n=2990) olgunlaştırma medyumu içerisinde 24 saat süreyle olgunlaştırıldı. Ardından, 20 saat süreyle İn Vitro Fertilizasyona (İVF) bırakıldılar. Yarıklanma gösteren embriyolar

The effect of intrauterine infusion of carvacrol after insemination on conception rate in repeat breeder cows subjected to progesteron based estrus synchronization protocol [PDF]

open access: yesKafkas Universitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Dergisi, 2019
Repeat breeder (RB) is one of the crucial causes of economic loss in dairy cows. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of intrauterine carvacrol administration after timed artificial insemination (TAI) on the conception rate (CR) in RB cows.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Precursor A-Kinase Anchor Protein 4 as a Predictive Biomarker of Post-Thaw Semen Quality in Goats

open access: yesVeterinary Sciences
The evaluation of sperm proteins has emerged as a promising approach to predicting semen quality across animal species. This study investigated the relationship between post-thaw concentrations of precursor A-kinase anchor protein 4 (proAKAP4) and ...

EFFECT OF GLUTATHIONE ON THE FREEZABILITY AND IN VITRO FERTILIZING POTENTIALS OF BOVINE SPERMATOZOA [PDF]

open access: yesAssiut Veterinary Medical Journal, 2012
Cryopreservation induces sub lethal damage to the spermatozoa, thereby reduce their fertile life. In the present study, effect of glutathione on bovine semen freezability and in vitro fertilizing potentials were evaluated. Semen was cryopreserved in tris-

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Investigation of Changes in Spermatozoon Characteristics, Chromatin Structure, and Antioxidant/Oxidant Parameters after Freeze-Thawing of Hesperidin (Vitamin P) Doses Added to Ram Semen

open access: yesLife, 2022
We conducted this study to determine the potential cryopreservative effects of different hesperidin (vitamin P; H) doses on ram semen after freeze-thawing. Semen samples were obtained from Sönmez rams using an artificial vagina.
