Glucuronolactone Promotes Mucin Sulfation to Alleviate Deoxynivalenol‐Induced Intestinal Injury via Microbiota‐Dependent and ‐Independent AHR Activation

Glucuronolactone (GLU) as a natural metabolite of glucose, increases Lactobacillus amylovorus abundance and luminal IAA level to activate AHR signaling. In addition, GLU itself can directly elevate AHR signaling activity independently of microbiota and IAA.

Parvimonas micra promotes carcinogenesis of colorectal cancer through phenyllactic acid‐induced DNA damage

Multiomics analysis of the faecal samples from CRC patients found that upregulation of P. micra and PLA was associated with the CRC development. PLA from P. micra via pdhD genes could induce DNA damage via AHR signalling pathway to mediate carcinogenesis.

Bioactive peptides (BPs) derived from dietary proteins modulate the gut microbiotametabolism axis by reshaping microbial composition and regulating key metabolites, including short‐chain fatty acids. BPs also enhance intestinal barrier integrity and immune homeostasis, thereby reducing inflammation.

Isocitrate Dehydrogenase Mutations in Cancer: From Bench to Bedside Applications

Mutant isocitrate dehydrogenase affects multiple cancer types. Alterations in IDH1 and IDH2 result in abnormal enzyme activity, leading to the overproduction of D‐2‐hydroxyglutarate (D‐2HG). This metabolite disrupts cellular metabolism and epigenetic regulation, driving cancer initiation, progression, and metastasis.
