Association between oral 5-ASA adherence and health care utilization and costs among patients with active ulcerative colitis

open access: yesBMC Gastroenterology, 2012
Background Observational cohort study to assess the association between adherence to oral 5-aminosalicylates (5-ASAs) and all-cause costs and health care utilization among patients with active ulcerative colitis (UC) in the United States.

Inflammatory Bowel Diseases and Coexisting Spondyloarthritis: A Neglected and too Often Under-Reported Association by Radiologists. A Multicenter Study by Italian Research Group of Imaging in Rheumatology

open access: yesGastroenterology Insights, 2020
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the prevalence and the underreporting rate of sacroiliitis (SI) in a large cohort of patients with biopsy-proved Crohn’s disease (CD) who underwent magnetic resonance enterography (MRE) or computed ...

Senkyunolide I Inhibits mtDNA‐cGAS‐STING Signaling in Macrophages via Targeting VDAC1 Oligomerization to Attenuate Ulcerative Colitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In macrophages, senkyunolide I (SEI) directly targets the K12 residue of VDAC1 to inhibit its stress‐induced oligomerization, a critical upstream event that effectively prevents mitochondrial DNA release and subsequent cGAS‐STING pathway activation.

Effect of Intravenous Golimumab on Fatigue and the Relationship with Clinical Response in Adults with Active Ankylosing Spondylitis in the Phase 3 GO-ALIVE Study

open access: yesRheumatology and Therapy, 2023
Introduction We studied the effect of intravenous (IV)-golimumab on fatigue and the association of fatigue improvement with clinical response post hoc in adults with active ankylosing spondylitis (AS) in the GO-ALIVE trial.

Nanoscale Confinement Enhances Ultrafast Demagnetization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Next generation spintronics may depend on successfully combining femtosecond spin dynamics with nanoscale device miniaturization. We address this by systematically studying the effect of nanoscale confinement on the femtosecond demagnetization of Iron. By combining ultrafast experiments sensitive to spins, charge carriers, and phonons, we uncover a nm ...

Oral Nanomicelle‐Mediated Sequential Butyrate Production in the Intestine for Ulcerative Colitis and Immunosuppression Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
After oral administration, inodorous GLU‐BA self‐assembles into nanomicelles in aqueous environments to resist premature gastric adsorption. Upon reaching the intestine, endogenous esterases rapidly cleave the built‐in ester bonds in these nanomicelles to release BA and GLU, with GLU further metabolized by gut microbiota to gradually generate BA ...

Discriminating capacity of the ASAS health index in patients with axial spondyloarthritis treated with ixekizumab

open access: yesSeminars in Arthritis and Rheumatism
To test the discriminating capacity of different thresholds of the Assessment of SpondyloArthritis international Society Health Index (ASAS HI) in placebo-controlled trials of patients with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA), including radiographic (r-axSpA) and non-radiographic (nr-axSpA) subtypes. The discriminating capacities of absolute (≥2.0-≥4.0 ...

14‐3‐3γ Protects Against Postoperative Cognitive Dysfunction by Regulating Tau Thr205 Phosphorylation and Synaptic Integrity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Integrative multi‐cohort analyses identify 14‐3‐3γ as a biomarker and regulator of cognitive vulnerability. Experimental studies show that 14‐3‐3γ loss is associated with Tau Thr205 phosphorylation, synaptic dysfunction, and cognitive impairment, while genetic overexpression or pharmacological stabilization of 14‐3‐3γ confers protective effects in ...
