White‐Light Emission in Zeolitic Imidazolate Framework Glasses

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Broadband blue emission is discovered in ZIF‐62 through vitrification and hot‐pressing. This emission is significantly enhanced and redshifted when the ZIF‐62 glass is annealed above the critical temperature (1.07Tg), being attributed to an enhancement of ligand‐to‐ligand charge transfer.

Interpreting the Transmission Windows of Distant Quasars

open access: yes, 2009
We propose the Apparent Shrinking Criterion (ASC) to interpret the spatial extent, R_w, of transmitted flux windows in the absorption spectra of high-z quasars.

High Stability of Diketopyrrolopyrrole Polymer Transistors Under Aqueous Condition Toward Biosensing Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We are reporting the first‐time investigation of DPP‐based Organic Field‐Effect Transistor (OFET) devices with high‐stability of signal response in both of ambient and aqueous conditions with PBS solution. ABSTRACT Diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP)–based conjugated polymers show strong promise for electronic applications, including bioelectronic gas sensors ...

Specific inhibition of NLRP3 inflammasome by a Smurf1 inhibitor in vitro and in vivo

open access: yesOpen Medicine
Abnormal activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome is associated with various inflammatory diseases, making it a potential therapeutic target. A01 is an inhibitor of Smurf1, its effect on the activation of NLRP3 inflammasome is still unclear and needs further

Material‐Induced Nuclear Deformation Controls Chromatin Architecture in Adipose Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tuning cell and cytoskeleton mechanics modulated nuclear shape and heterochromatin organization in ASCs. Distinct cytoskeletal architectures induced nuclear morphologies from oblate to prolate ellipsoids. Large elongated cells with a structured actin cap exhibited high nuclear strain, driving nuclear envelope deformation and heterochromatin ...

Complete recovery from anxiety disorders following Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in children and adolescents: a meta analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is a well-established treatment for childhood anxiety disorders. Meta-analyses have concluded that approximately 60% of children recover following treatment, however these include studies using a broad range of diagnostic

A Tac1‐Expressing Brainstem Pathway Underlies the Pathogenesis of Trigeminal Neuralgia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A critical TG‐Sp5CTac1‐PBNTac1 pathway drives trigeminal neuropathic pain (TNP). Tac1‐expressing parabrachial nucleus (PBNTac1) neurons exhibit heightened responses to innocuous stimuli in TNP, and chemogenetic inhibition of these neurons effectively prevents TNP development.

Flow Induced Symmetry Breaking in a Conceptual Polarity Model

open access: yesCells, 2020
Important cellular processes, such as cell motility and cell division, are coordinated by cell polarity, which is determined by the non-uniform distribution of certain proteins. Such protein patterns form via an interplay of protein reactions and protein

Sirt3 Genetically Engineered Apoptotic Bodies Alleviate Skeletal Aging by Limiting Aggravated NLRP3 Inflammasome Activation of Senescent Macrophages

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The senescence of macrophages leads to a decrease in the expression of Sirtuin3 (Sirt3), which in turn aggravates the NLRP3 inflammasome activation and IL‐1β secretion, thereby promoting the aging‐related osteoporosis. Sirt3‐enriched apoptotic bodies (ABs‐Sirt3) generated through genetic editing approaches can alleviate skeletal aging by targeting ...
