Sequential Ascus Collection in Neurospora crassa [PDF]
SUMMARY: A chamber has been devised to collect asci sequentially as they are ejected from individual perithecia of Neurospora crassa. Increasing age of a perithecium brought about a concurrent decrease of crossing-over. The results indicate that the exchange rates are not independent of time.
