METTL1‐Mediated M7G tRNA Modification Promotes Residual Liver Regeneration After Hepatectomy via Translational Control

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
METTL1 and its mediated m7G tRNA modification are significantly up‐regulated after partial hepatectomy (PHx). Overexpression of METTL1 improves the efficiency of liver regeneration after PHx, increases the proliferation of hepatocytes, and accelerates the recovery of liver function.

Regulating Tumor Metabolic Reprogramming with Biomimetic Co‐Delivery of Simvastatin and Kynureninase for Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
After the intravenous injection of biomimetic and pH/ROS‐responsive PTSK@CRM, the nanoparticles can be accumulated in tumors and release Sim and KYNase to inhibit the tumor growth, regulate the metabolism of cholesterol and Kyn, and reverse the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment.

Relationship between butyrylcholinesterase activity and hepatic transaminases: a cross-sectional study in agricultural workers from Peru

open access: yesJournal of Occupational Medicine and Toxicology
Introduction Chronic exposure to pesticides causes various adverse health effects, mainly at a neurological level. However, there is little evidence focused on liver tissue injury and transaminase activity as indicators of effect.

Administration of low-dose resveratrol attenuated hepatic inflammation and lipid accumulation in high cholesterol-fructose diet-induced rat model of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease

open access: yesChinese Journal of Physiology, 2020
Resveratrol (RSV) has been demonstrated to ameliorate nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in animal studies. However, RSV was given with the dosage that ranged from 7 to 300 mg/kg body weight (BW).

Gallium‐Doped MXene Nanozymes Protect Liver Through Multi‐Death Pathway Blockade and Hepatocyte Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops gallium‐doped V2C MXene nanozymes (Ga‐V2C) to treat acetaminophen‐induced liver injury through multi‐death pathway blockade and hepatocyte regeneration. Unlike conventional single‐target therapies like N‐acetylcysteine, Ga‐V2C nanozymes enable oxidative stress suppression, apoptosis, and ferroptosis inhibition, and enhanced ...

Metabolic syndrome is linked to a mild elevation in liver aminotransferases in diabetic patients with undetectable non-alcoholic fatty liver disease by ultrasound

open access: yesDiabetology & Metabolic Syndrome, 2010
Background Despite ongoing findings on the relationship between elevated levels of alanine and aspartate aminotransferases (ALT and AST) and metabolic syndrome (MetS), this association in diabetic patients without a known cause for liver enzymes ...
