Glucose deprivation or GLUT1 inhibition induces disulfidptosis in SLC7A11high ovarian cancer cells by promoting cystine accumulation, NADPH/ATP depletion, and F‐actin disulfide formation. SLC7A11 interacts with INF2 to further increase H₂O₂ levels and impair mitochondrial fission, suppressing cell migration. Targeting the SLC7A11–INF2 axis represents a

The tumor‐associated macrophages (TAMs) in lung cancer tissues exhibit active cystine metabolism. Restricting cystine concentration in macrophages induces M1 phenotypic polarization and upregulation of PD‐L1 expression through the GSH‐NF‐κB signaling pathway.

Testing the relationship between gut permeability, elevation of systemic lipopolysaccharides and chronic disease : A thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at Massey University, Manawatu, New Zealand [PDF]
The aim of my thesis was to test whether an increase in the permeability of the gut is accompanied by an increase in the level of systemic lipopolysaccharides (LPS), also referred to as endotoxin.

This study demonstrates that the transport of lactate to the mitochondria is of critical importance in determining the functions of macrophages by altering mitochondrial respiration. In macrophages, this lactate transport mechanism regulates glucose homeostasis by influencing the functions of insulin‐secreting cells in the pancreatic islets.

ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID RESISTANCE: RISK FACTORS, MECHANISMS, DIAGNOSTIC TESTS
Acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) is one the most widespread drugs in the world. It is used for secondary prevention of atherothrombotic events in patients with cardiovascular disease.

Summary: The mechanisms of osimertinib resistance have not been well characterized. We conducted next-generation sequencing to recognize novel resistance mechanism and used cell line-derived xenograft (CDX) and patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models to ...

Nicotine Reprograms Aging‐Related Metabolism and Protects Against Motor Decline in Mice
Long‐term oral nicotine intake protects against age‐related motor decline in mice without eliciting systemic toxicity. Integrated multi‐organ metabolomic profiling and longitudinal gut microbiota analyses reveal that nicotine induces coordinated remodeling of glycolipid and sphingolipid metabolism, enhances NAD⁺ bioavailability, and suppresses ceramide
