The Cold‐Pole Bias Severely Weakens Southern Hemisphere Springtime Stratosphere‐Troposphere Coupling

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 21, 16 November 2025.
Abstract A too cold and too strong Antarctic stratospheric polar vortex (ASPV) in spring (the so‐called cold‐pole bias) is a common model problem. This study investigates the impact of the cold‐pole bias on Southern Hemisphere springtime stratosphere‐troposphere coupling and how this impact is affected by interactive ozone using a pair of Goddard Earth

Hybrid Perovskite‐Photovoltaic and Solar‐Thermal Harvesting

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 42, November 13, 2025.
This study presents a hybrid solar energy harvesting concept that integrates a semi‐transparent perovskite solar module with a thermal collector. High‐energy photons generate electricity at 14.3% efficiency, while ≈55% of low‐energy photons provide heat.

The effect of the Pharmaiod preparation in the virus elimination of pear plants using the thermotherapy method

open access: yesАграрная наука Евро-Северо-Востока, 2022
Currently, the main methods of virus elimination of fruit crops are dry-air thermotherapy, meristem culture and chemotherapy. The use of a complex of physical and chemical methods makes it possible to increase the efficiency of virus elimination ...

Pathogen and Gene Expression Profiles of Atlantic Salmon From an Endangered Population

open access: yesAquatic Conservation: Marine and Freshwater Ecosystems, Volume 35, Issue 4, April 2025.
ABSTRACT The role of pathogens in impacting the behaviour and fate of salmonids has been studied extensively for some selected pathogens such as sea lice. However, the whole pathobiome of the fish are seldom considered and may confound and influence the study species in situ.

Arctic stratospheric polar vortex collapse amplified South China extreme rainfall in April 2024

open access: yesnpj Climate and Atmospheric Science
In March 2024, the Arctic stratospheric polar vortex (ASPV) collapsed dramatically. The following April, extreme precipitation in South China (SCP) caused severe floods and economic damage.
