Low‐grade glial neoplasms of germ cell origin may represent maturation of embryonic‐type neuroectodermal elements

open access: yesHistopathology, Volume 88, Issue 2, Page 503-514, January 2026.
Our results support that low grade glial tumours of germ cell origin (LGGTs) represent a phenomenon of maturation (either spontaneous or induced by therapy) of embryonic‐type neuroectoderm, being possibly equivalent to teratoma from a biological perspective.

MRPS16 Regulates NFATC2 Through the Wnt/β‐Catenin Pathway to Promote Glioma Proliferation

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 2, January 2026.
ABSTRACT There have been reports that overexpression of mitochondrial ribosomal protein S16 (MRPS16) can greatly improve the growth of tumour cells, migration and invasion abilities in many ways. However, the role of MRPS16 in glioma cell proliferation, which is closely associated with tumour malignancy, remains unclear.

Multi‐Omics Evidence Based on Spatial Transcriptomics Data Reveals the Therapeutic Value of Copper Death Genes in Glioblastoma

open access: yesInternational Journal of Genomics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Background Cuprotosis is an emerging form of copper‐dependent programmed cell death, while low‐grade gliomas (LGGs) represent a common subtype of primary brain tumors. Methods Datasets from The Cancer Genome Atlas and TargetScan were utilized to identify cuprotosis‐related microRNAs (CRMs).
