Research on the Control Method of the PV Grid-Connected Inverter under an Asymmetrical Power Grid Fault

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
The negative-sequence current component and harmonic components generated when an asymmetrical fault occurs in the power grid seriously affect the normal operation of the photovoltaic (PV) grid-connected inverter.

Asymmetrical Fault Correction for the Sensitive Loads Using a Current Regulated Voltage Source Inverter

open access: yesEnergies, 2016
Numerous industrial applications involve loads that are very sensitive to electrical supply instabilities. These instances involve various types of voltage imbalances as well as more serious disturbances such as symmetrical and asymmetrical faults.

3D Transient Electromagnetic-Temperature Field Analysis of the Loss and Heat of the Damper Bars of a Large Tubular Hydro-Generator During Short Circuit Faults

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This paper studies a real 36-MW large tubular hydro-generator to solve the transient variation problem of the loss and heat of damper bars during short circuit faults in tubular hydro-generators.

On the Use of Clarke Transformation for the Transient Analysis of Asymmetrical Faults in Three-Phase Power Systems

open access: yesEnergies
This work provides a theoretical/methodological contribution to the transient analysis of asymmetrical faults in three-phase systems. Transient analysis of three-phase systems is usually performed by resorting either to the instantaneous Symmetrical ...

Sliding Mode Control Based Supercapacitor Modeling for Dynamic Stability in DFIG Based Wind Turbines

open access: yesDüzce Üniversitesi Bilim ve Teknoloji Dergisi, 2022
The supercapacitor is among the elements commonly used to store energy as an important component in sustainable energy systems. In doubly fed induction generators (DFIGs), the supercapacitor is used to compensate voltage dips and damping oscillations. In

Influence of fault asymmetric dislocation on the gravity changes

open access: yesGeodesy and Geodynamics, 2014
Abstract:A fault is a planar fracture or discontinuity in a volume of rock, across which there has been significant displacement along the fractures as a result of earth movement. Large faults within the Earth’s crust result from the action of plate tectonic forces, with the largest forming the boundaries between the plates, energy release associated ...

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Determination of SCC Contributed by DFIG Under Asymmetrical Short Circuit Fault

open access: yesCSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems
For the past decades, practical calculation method of short circuit current (SCC) contributed by doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) under asymmetrical short circuit fault is deficient due to its control strategies and unlinear equipment.

Active trailing edge flap system fault detection via machine learning [PDF]

open access: yesWind Energy Science
Active trailing edge flap (AFlap) systems have shown promising results in reducing wind turbine (WT) loads. The design of WTs relying on AFlap load reduction requires implementing systems to detect, monitor, and quantify any potential fault or ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.
