Change-point tests under local alternatives for long-range dependent processes

open access: yes, 2017
We consider the change-point problem for the marginal distribution of subordinated Gaussian processes that exhibit long-range dependence. The asymptotic distributions of Kolmogorov-Smirnov- and Cram\'{e}r-von Mises type statistics are investigated under ...

Analyzing Electronic Excitations and Exciton Binding Energies in Y6 Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The Y6 molecule is used for increasing the efficiency of organic solar cells. The exciton binding energy is calculated for ensembles of Y6 molecules that are representative of the typically used films. The calculations show that the excitons typically spread out over many molecules.

On Hodges and Lehmann's "$6/\pi$ result" [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
While the asymptotic relative efficiency (ARE) of Wilcoxon rank-based tests for location and regression with respect to their parametric Student competitors can be arbitrarily large, Hodges and Lehmann (1961) have shown that the ARE of the same Wilcoxon ...

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Spatial-sign-based high-dimensional white noises test

open access: yesStatistical Theory and Related Fields
In this study, we explore the problem of hypothesis testing for white noise in high-dimensional settings, where the dimension of the random vector may exceed the sample sizes. We introduce a test procedure based on spatial-sign for high-dimensional white

Localized Temperature Monitoring in Mouse Brain during Light Delivery via a Non‐Planar Tapered Fiber‐Integrated µRTD Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We report a multifunctional tapered optical fiber integrating a conformal micro‐resistance temperature detector (µRTD) for local, real‐time thermometry during optical stimulation. The platform combines light‐delivery and temperature sensing within a minimally invasive footprint, enabling detection of sub‐degree cortical heating under representative ...

Сomparative Analysis of Polynomial Maximization and Maximum Likelihood Estimates for Data with Exponential Power Distribution

open access: yesVìsnik Nacìonalʹnogo Tehnìčnogo Unìversitetu Ukraïni Kììvsʹkij Polìtehnìčnij Ìnstitut: Serìâ Radìotehnìka, Radìoaparatobuduvannâ, 2020
The work is devoted to the estimate accuracy comparative analysis of the experimental data parameters with exponential power distribution (EPD) using the classical Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) and the original Polynomial Maximization Method (PMM).

Assembling a True “Olympic Gel” From over 16 000 Combinatorial DNA Rings

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Olympic gels are an elusive class of soft matter, consisting of molecular networks held together purely by mechanically interlocked rings. Their topological structure promises unique properties and functions, but their synthesis has proven notoriously difficult.

Preliminary and Shrinkage-Type Estimation for the Parameters of the Birnbaum–Saunders Distribution Based on Modified Moments

open access: yesStats
The two-parameter Birnbaum–Saunders (B-S) distribution is widely applied across various fields due to its favorable statistical properties. This study aims to enhance the efficiency of modified moment estimators for the B-S distribution by systematically

A new experimental way for the monitoring of the real/equivalent in-service-time of double base rocket propellant by coupling VST and PCA

open access: yesDefence Technology, 2021
The assessment of the real in-service-time (RIST) and the equivalent in-service-time (EIST) of double base rocket propellants (DBRPs) is of utmost importance for the safe storage and use of weapon systems as well as the efficiency of the accelerated ...
