Dynamic asynchronous iterations
Many problems can be solved by iteration by multiple participants (processors, servers, routers etc.). Previous mathematical models for such asynchronous iterations assume a single function being iterated by a fixed set of participants. We will call such iterations static since the system's configuration does not change.

In this paper, we consider the problem of scattering a swarm of mobile oblivious robots in a continuous space. We consider the fully asynchronous setting where robots may base their computation on past observations, or may be observed by other robots while moving.

Chip-In-Loop SNN Proxy Learning: a new method for efficient training of spiking neural networks
The primary approaches used to train spiking neural networks (SNNs) involve either training artificial neural networks (ANNs) first and then transforming them into SNNs, or directly training SNNs using surrogate gradient techniques. Nevertheless, both of

An Asynchronous Real-Time Corner Extraction and Tracking Algorithm for Event Camera
Event cameras have many advantages over conventional frame-based cameras, such as high temporal resolution, low latency and high dynamic range. However, state-of-the-art event- based algorithms either require too much computation time or have poor ...

Synchronizing the asynchronous
Synchronous programs are easy to specify because the side effects of an operation are finished by the time the invocation of the operation returns to the caller. Asynchronous programs, on the other hand, are difficult to specify because there are side effects due to pending computation scheduled as a result of the invocation of an operation.

Efficiency of Asynchronous Systems That Communicate Asynchronously [PDF]
A parallel composition is introduced that combines nets (regarded as system components) by merging so-called interface places; the novel feature is a flexible typing of these places, which formulates assumptions a component makes about its environment.

Objective The American College of Rheumatology recommends HLA‐B*58:01 allele testing before the initiation of allopurinol, specifically among Asian and African American/Black patients, due to their increased risk for severe hypersensitivity reactions. However, testing rates remain low at many health care facilities.
