OPTIMAL MANAGEMENT OF THE NORTHERN ATLANTIC BLUEFIN TUNA
This paper analyzes the optimal management of the Northern Atlantic bluefin tuna, both eastern and western stocks. The analysis is based on a deterministic multi-gear and age-structured bioeconomic model.

The Atlantic mackerel (Scomber scombrus) has been the centre of attention in an ongoing conflict regarding management and allocation of quota since the distribution of the species changed and expanded to new areas. These changes in distribution have been linked to higher sea temperature, increasing stock size and changes in feeding opportunities.

The East Atlantic Bluefin Tuna Fisheries: Stock Collapse or Recovery?
A discrete time, multi-gear, and age structured bio-economic model is developed for the East Atlantic bluefin tuna fisheries, a paradigmatic example of the difficulties faced in managing highly migratory fish stocks.

Implicit cooperation? The northeast atlantic mackerel fishery
This paper presents a quarterly, game-theoretic model of the Northeast Atlantic mackerel to study the fishing strategies of five players, the EU, Norway, the Faeroe Islands, Iceland, and the international fishery on the high seas. Data on the spatial distribution of fish catches 1977-2011 are used to model changes in the distribution of the mackerel ...
