Radiative Transfer Model of Dust Attenuation Curves in Clumpy, Galactic Environments
The attenuation of starlight by dust in galactic environments is investigated through models of radiative transfer in a spherical, clumpy ISM. Extinction properties for MW, LMC, and SMC dust types are considered.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Unshielded facility testbed for electromagnetic wave attenuation using absorber slabs
This paper presents a testbed for unshielded facilities utilizing planar electro-magnetic absorbers. These slabs demonstrate comparable shielding effective-ness to that of reinforced concrete in the frequency range from 1 GHz to6 GHz.

Attenuation effect and neutrino oscillation tomography
Attenuation effect is the effect of weakening of contributions to the oscillation signal from remote structures of matter density profile. The effect is a consequence of integration over the neutrino energy within the energy resolution interval ...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Study on Sulfide Layer Attenuation Behavior of Smithsonite During Sulfidization Flotation
The S content on the surface of smithsonite plays a decisive role in smithsonite flotation. In this study, the attenuation behavior of smithsonite surface sulfide layer was investigated by inductive coupling plasma mass-spectrometric (ICP-MS) and X-ray ...
