Rock Physics Modeling of Acoustic Properties in Gas Hydrate-Bearing Sediment
Gas hydrates (GH) are well known to have an influential effect on the velocity and attenuation of gas hydrate-bearing sediments (GHBS). Based on rock physics modeling, sediment velocity has been extensively used to characterize the distribution of gas ...

Olive leaves’ extract may attenuate cadmium-induced liver damage in Wistar rat [PDF]
This study investigates the possible attenuation of cadmium toxicity by using fresh aqueous olive leaves extract (OLE) of Olea europea. Wistar rats were divided into a control group received a standard diet, two positive controls received 0.25 g/kg BW ...

Echo Sounding for Remote Estimation of Seabed Temperatures on the Arctic Shelf
The East Siberian Arctic Shelf (ESAS) is a key area of CH4 venting in the Arctic Ocean. The ESAS region stores more than 80% of the world’s predicted subsea permafrost and associated permafrost-related gas hydrates.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
