The phenomenon of lexical repulsion in text
The advances in computing technology which made possible the study of electronic text in large quantities opened the door to the study of lexis, and crucially of significant word collocation.

Using a minimal set of experimentally labeled antimicrobial and non‐antimicrobial peptides, we reconstruct the effective lipid composition of a pathogenic membrane ‐demonstrated at the example of bacterial membranes‐ through a physics‐based evolutionary molecular dynamics (Evo‐MD) approach. Optimization based on peptide insertion reveals broad‐spectrum

ABSTRACT This study investigates sulfur spillover, the spontaneous and rapid spread of sulfur over carbon surfaces at ambient temperature. The process is studied by small‐angle X‐ray scattering (SAXS), X‐ray radiography, and microcalorimetry from which a number of physicochemical properties are derived.

This work presents novel enamine‐based self‐assembling monolayers with engineered anchoring groups as hole‐selective contacts for inverted perovskite solar cells. The conjugated molecular design suppresses interfacial defects, optimizes charge extraction, and prevents aggregation.

LOCAL REPULSION OF PLANAR GAUSSIAN CRITICAL POINTS
We study the local repulsion between critical points of a stationary isotropic smooth planar Gaussian field. We show that the critical points can experience a soft repulsion which is maximal in the case of the random planar wave model, or a soft ...

Whole‐blood biomimetic engineering transforms liquid metal nanoparticles into a tripartite immunotherapeutic platform that orchestrates regulatory T‐cell depletion, photothermal‐induced immunogenic cell death, and activation of the stimulator of interferon genes pathway.

Understanding Popout through Repulsion
Perceptual popout is defined by both feature similarity and local feature contrast. We identify these two measures with attraction and repulsion, and unify the dual processes of association by attraction and segregation by repulsion in a single grouping ...

Boundedness of Solutions for an Attraction–Repulsion Model with Indirect Signal Production
In this paper, we consider the following two-dimensional chemotaxis system of attraction–repulsion with indirect signal production tu=Δu−∇·χ1u∇v1+∇·(χ2u∇v2),x∈R2,t>0,0=Δvj−λjvj+w,x∈R2,t>0,(j=1,2),tw+δw=u,x∈R2,t>0,u(0,x)=u0(x),w(0,x)=w0(x),x∈R2, where the

Peptide‐inspired associative polymers with arginine‐like guanidinium stickers and lysine‐like ammonium spacers undergo chain collapse and liquid‐liquid phase separation induced by reversible sticker associations. Sticker valence and tunable association strength jointly control the phase behavior, chain conformation, and interfacial cohesion of these ...
