Printable Piezoresistive Hybrid Hydrogels Based on 2D MoS2 for Flexible Pulse Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hybrid 1T‐MoS2‐based hydrogels are engineered through UV curing and 3D printing to achieve tunable electromechanical properties for wearable sensing. These soft architectures enhance mechanical stability and reproducible piezoresistive responses within the physiological pressure range.

Anomalous Enhancement in MXene‐Based Electrochemical Actuators: Pseudo‐Capacitance‐Induced Multi‐Charge Accumulation in Confined Space

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We elucidate the electrochemical actuation mechanism of 2D material‐based electrodes within a MXene‐centered framework, linking atomic‐scale surface chemistry to macroscopic performance (see schematic). Mechanistically, the reduction of Ti─O─Ti sites in H2SO4 triggers the accumulation of hydrated ions at confined active sites, resulting in anomalous ...

Rapid Photogelation of Low‐Concentration Polymer Solutions via Photodimerization of o‐Ethylnitrobenzene

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Upon UV irradiation, flexible and tough hydrogels are formed rapidly (>0.5 s) from dilute (>0.5 wt%) solutions of o‐ethylnitrobenzene–modified PVA. At ∼1.5 wt%, the hydrogels withstand up to 10 MPa compression, remain handleable even after 200‐fold swelling.

Attraction and repulsion of mobile wild organisms to finfish and shellfish aquaculture: a review

open access: yes, 2017
Knowledge of aquaculture?environment interactions is essential for the development of a sustainable aquaculture industry and efficient marine spatial planning. The effects of fish and shellfish farming on sessile wild populations, particularly infauna,

Reversible Exfoliation‐Aggregation Dynamics in Ionic COFs for Tunable Interfacial Catalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A unique ionic covalent organic framework (I‐4) exhibits unprecedented concentration‐dependent dynamic behavior in water, undergoing reversible transitions between aggregation and exfoliation. This enables fully controllable, bidirectional modulation of its particle size and surface micro‐environment.

BOSF: The Universal Law of Attraction & Repulsion

open access: yes
AbstractThe Birds of Same Feather (BOSF) Principle proposes a universal law of attraction and repulsion that governs natural clustering and organization across all scales of reality. From subatomic particles and planetary systems to biological ecosystems and human societies, BOSF explains why similar entities naturally attract and cluster, while ...

TiO6 as a Compensatory Structural Unit in Co‐Free, High‐Ni Layered Oxide for Durable Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ti substitution stabilizes Co‐free high‐Ni layered oxides through both structural and electronic effects. TiO6 octahedra act as compensatory structural units that help interrupt cooperative Jahn–Teller distortion and suppress detrimental phase transitions, while the electron‐withdrawing inductive effect of Ti stabilizes the oxygen lattice. As a result,

Programmed Interfacial Phase Separation for Spatiotemporal Fungicide Delivery via Tunable Micro/Nano Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Translating dynamic liquid‐liquid phase separation into robust solid‐state architectures remains a challenge in materials engineering. Here, we report a composition‐driven interfacial assembly strategy that couples supramolecular coacervation with metal‐phenolic coordination to engineer tunable fungicide carriers.

Attraction-Repulsion Swarming: A Generalized Framework of t-SNE via Force Normalization and Tunable Interactions

open access: yes
We propose a new method for data visualization based on attraction-repulsion swarming (ARS) dynamics, which we call ARS visualization. ARS is a generalized framework that is based on viewing the t-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding (t-SNE ...

Change in separation symbolizing attraction(−)/repulsion(+), and speed distributions estimated from the simulations.

open access: yes, 2012
In (a) and (b) we have the changes in neighbor separation and speed v respectively at the next time interval , as a function of at time t. The R2 model was built upon two-second sampling, and thus each time interval update is after two seconds.
