Repulsion between oppositely charged planar macroions. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
The repulsive interaction between oppositely charged macroions is investigated using Grand Canonical Monte Carlo simulations of an unrestricted primitive model, including the effect of inhomogeneous surface charge and its density, the depth of surface ...

Stabilization in a higher-dimensional attraction–repulsion chemotaxis system if repulsion dominates over attraction

open access: yes, 2018
The long-time behavior of solutions to an attraction–repulsion chemotaxis system is considered in this paper in a bounded domain under zero-flux boundary conditions if repulsion dominates over attraction.

Jérusalem, entre attraction et répulsion migratoire

open access: yesEchoGéo
Despite the high symbolic and political values granted to Jerusalem, the city’s net migration balance has been negative for several decades, within the Israeli as well as within the Palestinian population.

A potential justifying superconductivity and pseudogap formation in high-Tc superconductors

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2019
Copper and Iron based high temperature superconductors exhibit d-wave type superconducting gap and order parameter and posses a universal phase diagram. Here a potential is introduced that accounts for high temperature superconductivity, justifies d-wave

Effect of Zeta Potential on Flotation Behavior of Serpentine in Xanthate/Black Powder System

open access: yesKuangchan zonghe liyong
[Objective] In the process of flotation, the inclusion of fine gangue minerals such as serpentine in foam will reduce the recovery rate and grade of useful minerals in concentrate, which will bring a series of problems to the subsequent non-ferrous metal

Eliminating Electron Self-Repulsion [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Problems of self-interaction arise in both classical and quantum field theories. To understand how such problems are to be addressed in a quantum theory of the Dirac and electromagnetic fields (quantum electrodynamics), we can start by analyzing a ...

Attraction and Repulsion in Louis MacNiece's poetry

open access: yesمجلة الآداب
There are incidents in some people's lives which have a great impact on their behavior, work and even their belonging to an extent they undermine the voice to become a tide in vanishing and surfacing at different times.

Feature Learning in L2-Regularized DNNs: Attraction/Repulsion and Sparsity

open access: yesAdvances in Neural Information Processing Systems 35, 2022
We study the loss surface of DNNs with $L_{2}$ regularization. We show that the loss in terms of the parameters can be reformulated into a loss in terms of the layerwise activations $Z_{\ell}$ of the training set. This reformulation reveals the dynamics behind feature learning: each hidden representations $Z_{\ell}$ are optimal w.r.t.
