Contraints on Matter from Asymptotic Safety
Recent studies of the ultraviolet behaviour of pure gravity suggest that it admits a non-Gaussian attractive fixed point, and therefore that the theory is asymptotically safe.

Tikhonov-Fenichel reduction for parameterized critical manifolds with applications to chemical reaction networks [PDF]
We derive a reduction formula for singularly perturbed ordinary differential equations (in the sense of Tikhonov and Fenichel) with a known parameterization of the critical manifold.

A nonautonomous discrete two-species competition system with infinite delays and single feedback control is considered in this paper. Based on the discrete comparison theorem, a set of sufficient conditions which guarantee the permanence of the system is

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Adaptive Mechanisms in an Airline Ticket Demand Forecasting System [PDF]
Adaptivity is a very important feature for industrial forecast systems. In the airline industry, a reliable forecasting of a demand for tickets at different fare levels forms a crucial step in a global optimization process, the objective of which is to

Engineering Stable Discrete-Time Quantum Dynamics via a Canonical QR Decomposition
We analyze the asymptotic behavior of discrete-time, Markovian quantum systems with respect to a subspace of interest. Global asymptotic stability of subspaces is relevant to quantum information processing, in particular for initializing the system in ...

Disordered but rhythmic—the role of intrinsic protein disorder in eukaryotic circadian timing
Unstructured domains known as intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are present in nearly every part of the eukaryotic core circadian oscillator. IDRs enable many diverse inter‐ and intramolecular interactions that support clock function. IDR conformations are highly tunable by post‐translational modifications and environmental conditions, which ...

Integration of circadian and hypoxia signaling via non‐canonical heterodimerization
CLOCK, BMAL1, and HIFs are basic helix‐loop‐helix and Per‐Arnt‐Sim domain (bHLH‐PAS) proteins, which function as transcription factors. bHLH‐PAS proteins are designated in two classes. Many class I proteins are regulated by environmental signals via their PAS domains, but such signals have not been identified for all.

This paper studies the integro-differential equations of Hilfer fractional (HF) neutral stochastic evolution on an infinite interval with almost sectorial operators and their attractive solutions. We use semigroup theory, stochastic analysis, compactness
