Alternate attractor chimeralike states on rings of chaotic Lorenz-type oscillators
An interesting alternate attractor chimeralike state can self-organize to emerge on rings of chaotic Lorenz-type oscillators. The local dynamics of any two neighboring oscillators can spontaneously change from the chaotic butterfly-like attractors to the

Membrane composition and thermodynamic identity as boundaries of life for synthetic cell research
What makes a cell a cell? The boundary of a living cell is not just a wall. Read as a Markov blanket, the membrane separates internal from external states, generating identity and non‐equilibrium order. Can this identity be rebuilt from scratch in a synthetic cell?

Place cells and grid cells in the hippocampal formation are thought to integrate sensory and self-motion information into a representation of estimated spatial location, but the precise mechanism is unknown.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Attractor Properties of Non-Reversible Dynamics w.r.t. Invariant Gibbs Measures on the Lattice
We consider stochastic dynamics of lattice systems with finite local state space, possibly at low temperature, and possibly non-reversible. We assume the additional regularity properties on the dynamics: a) There is at least one stationary measure which ...

fran-romero-campero/ATTRACTOR: Fiesta release of ATTRACTOR
<p>The circadian clock and light signalling play central roles in plant physiology and development. As a consequence, massive amounts of omics data have been generated to characterize their individual components.

Lower semicontinuity of attractors for non-autonomous dynamical systems [PDF]
This paper is concerned with the lower semicontinuity of attractors for semilinear non-autonomous differential equations in Banach spaces. We require the unperturbed attractor to be given as the union of unstable manifolds of time-dependent hyperbolic

Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.
